Tips on Effective Goal Setting Strategies

I set goals for my self by giving myself small tasks to do and a certain amount of time to do them. I never try to set unrealistic goals for my self. I set small goals in small increments that way I am never disappointed or let down.

Effective goal setting is when you actually accomplish the goal that you set out to do. It doesn't make any sense if you set numerous goals for yourself and not achieve any of them. It does make sense when you set a few goals and you achieve them a little at a time.

Setting goals is unnerving because it puts pressure on us to achieve something. It also forces us to hold ourselves accountable for something. Usually you write it down and it is engraved in your conscious so the guilt is enormous.

I believe that goal setting should be realistic and rewarding. You should reward yourself each time you achieve something and with that achievement comes a confidence that will enable you to increase your goal meter. You should not be so hard on yourself, guide your goals by flow of your everyday life activities. It will come together in time.
