Luck Does Matter

It must sound weird if I say that I have been luckier as compared to my other friends. I was working in one of the mall companies as an executive and had a tough time with my by boss there. I used to always think of getting rid of that place but couldn’t manage to do that because my family too was in the same city. I had no choice but just to stay there or else I would have to shift the whole family and that would certainly need good package to survive elsewhere.

Luckily, I was not the only person who had the same issue with the same company. I never thought of changing the company due to family restrictions. One fine day, my friend asked me to drop him to one of the consultants for an interview in one of the multi national companies. As a good will gesture, I went along with him and sat inside the consulting office. To my surprise I was asked for the interview and I just got baffle as I was not prepared and I didn’t have my resume with me.

I just thought I must try my skills. You call it lucky for me, I got through and unfortunately my friend was rejected for that post. I was offered a handsome package which also supported me to shift my entire family to a different state. Currently I am working as a Quality manager and have a good hold in my company. All this wouldn’t have happened if I would not have helped my friend to drop him at the consultant office. Thanks to him and my luck.
