I'd like to tell you about the funniest job interview I ever had.
Last fall I decided I needed a part time job to supplement my social security, so I applied for a few, but these were quickly filled by other applicants.
I then found a post for being an animal attendant for the city. I've always loved animals so I figured I'd give it a try.
I received a phone call to come in for a job interview.
Now understand, that I had a pretty clear idea what this job was going to involve.
I sat there with a smile on my face and gave my reasons why I was qualified to clean up after animals and pick up road kill. It was all rather funny and yet I really wanted the job.
I think the funniest part of the interview was that I was required to have a CORI check in order to get the job. This is a criminal investigation report. I guess they didn't want anyone with a criminal record cleaning up after animals.
Well, I'm happy to say, I did get the job and spent my winter working both outside and inside in sub freezing weather, snowstorms and power outages, cleaning kennels, feeding animals and making vet runs.
